What gets deleted
When we action your request, we permanently delete the personal data we hold about you, including:
- your account (email and login credentials) and profile (display name, your languages);
- your messages and their corrections, error explanations, and the vocabulary and progress derived from your chats;
- your push-notification tokens and any subscription records we hold.
The copy of your chat history stored locally on your device is removed when you delete the Chatmend app or clear your history from within it.
How long it takes
Deletion is scheduled as soon as we verify your request, and your account is permanently erased after a 14-day recovery period. If you change your mind, sign back in during that window to cancel. Requests sent by email are actioned within a few days.
What we may keep, and why
We may retain a limited amount of information where the law requires it, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements — for example, records needed for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. Anything we keep is kept only for as long as necessary and is described in our Privacy Policy.
Note that messages you have already sent in a shared conversation may remain visible to the other members of that conversation as part of their own history.
Deleting only some data
If you want to remove specific data rather than your whole account — for example, edit your profile or clear your local chat history — you can do that inside the app. For anything else, contact us at privacy@cashless.space.
